Australian Cider Day 2024 – Heritage Cider Apples Tour & Lunch in the Orchard

We’re celebrating Australian Cider Day AND the long weekend this March 9th with this special, one-off event!

Embark on an enchanting journey guided by our cider maestro, Jon Mackie, as he unveils the captivating world of our heritage cider apples. Immerse your senses in a hands-on experience that culminates in an exclusive grazing-style picnic set amidst our picturesque orchard. This extraordinary tour, led by an award-winning cider maker, celebrates the essence of English heritage cider apple varieties.

Discover the meticulous management and organic certification of our orchards, unravel the unique qualities and characteristics of these apples, and delve into the reasons behind their cultivation. With limited capacity, this boutique event guarantees an intimate setting, featuring a cider tasting workshop that is exclusively for attendees aged 18 and above.

What’s in store for you?
In the orchard, under the guidance of our expert, you’ll not only learn about but also handpick and savour our premium heritage apple varieties. The cider tasting workshop will tantalise your taste buds by matching these apples to our currently available single varietal cider styles, including a yet-to-be-released gem.

Following the tour, indulge in a leisurely picnic-style lunch in the orchard, where carefully curated cheeses, charcuterie, and a selection of in-house and local accompaniments await. While additional beverages can be purchased during lunch, they will be personally delivered to you in the orchard.

Although the event concludes at 1:30 pm, the experience doesn’t end there. Feel free to extend your visit by joining us at the cellar door or taking home exclusive ciders, including pre-release delights that are not available to the public. Elevate your appreciation for heritage cider apples in this unforgettable and tasteful escapade.

Please wear weather appropriate clothing & closed in shoes for spending time in the orchards.
Due to the nature of this event, all guests must be 18 years or older.
Vegetarian, GF & nut free dietary requirements can be catered for with notice. Please make a note when booking.
