Live music at Daylesford Cider

On the first Saturday of September, as part of our ‘Celebrate Spring at Daylesford Cider‘, we will be welcoming back one of our favourite bands, the Duck Downpickers.

 

The Duck Downpickers play acoustic zyda-jug-holy-billy blues, a little tongue in beak! Lively, loud, toe-tapping revelry; hard driven primitive banjo, chugging guitar (like a Fergie tractor) and thumping fat fiddle, seasoned with lush
wailing harmonies!
Inspired by the home-cooked mountain music of the Appalachians, the Ducks cite among their influences Gus Cannon’s Jug Stompers, The Skillet Lickers, R Crumb and The Cheap Suit Serenaders, the Carolina Chocolate Drops and Old Crow Medicine Show.

 

Daylesford Cider will be launching two new limited release ciders this weekend, their fresh spring menu and a new line up of craft ciders on the Cider Tasting Paddle.
On Saturday 7th September the Duck Down Pickers will be playing between 12-4pm. They will be playing in our large courtyard area which is covered by a marquee, so please dress accordingly on the day. 

We strongly recommend making a reservation if you would like to join us for lunch, but will always do our best to accomodate walk-ins on the day.
There will also be tables for those that just want to join us for a tasting and drinks across the afternoon.
