DESCRIPTION:Come along to our Spudfest Sunday Session at Daylesford Cider on Sunday 3rd May.\nThe Great Trentham Spudfest 2026 is a 2 day event – with Sunday Discovery Day getting folk out and about celebrating local stories\, flavours and farms. \nOur Sunday Session is all about top notch cider\, tasty spud dishes\, great tunes\, a lot of fun and embracing authentic regional produce and celebrations!\nKick back to the toe tappin’ tunes by Two Duck Night. These fellas will be playing in the marquee covered courtyard from 12pm until 3pm. This is of course a free event\, however we would recommend reserving a table online in advance – walk in’s welcome as always. \nOur chef’s will be serving up some Spud-inspired dishes all weekend long\, Friday to Sunday. A very delicious potato gratin is rumoured to be part of the menu! Our kitchen is open 11:15am – 2:45pm\, with our bar running from 10am to 5pm as usual. \nDiscovery Day is all about tasting local and celebrating the region’s iconic crops. Grab a cider\, enjoy the tunes\, and make a Sunday of it.

You will find our accredited farmers’ market in the heart of historic Piper Street on the second Saturday of the month at St Paul’s Park 08:30-13:00.\nWith 50+ food stalls there’s much for you to taste and see. \nThe market brings together local farmers and food producers and includes a makers’ section featuring unique and creative handmade items. \nTalk to the farmer\, producer and maker in person. Stalls include: fresh seasonal fruit\, vegetables\, lamb\, pork\, pasture-raised hens’ eggs\, fish\, sourdough bread\, handmade cakes\, honey\, jams\, olives\, wine\, gin\, cider and mead\, backyard chooks\, ceramics\, jewellery and hand-created toys and gifts. And a very popular sausage sizzle! \nKyneton is the market for dog lovers\, too. Well behaved dogs on leads are always welcome.\nFree parking on Piper Street and surrounding streets. \nTwo free community stalls are also available each market if you are looking to promote or raise funds. \nThis market is part of the Victorian Farmers Market Association\, and run on a voluntary basis by St Paul’s Anglican Church. Set in the grounds of this historic bluestone church\, we welcome you to take a look inside at the beautiful stained glass windows and a pipe organ relocated from the first St Paul’s Church in Melbourne when it was just a wooden building.

Here\, boutique cider producers from across the country come together\, alongside live music\, gourmet food\, market stalls\, and that unmistakable autumn energy. \nAt Daylesford Cider\, we’ll be pouring crisp\, orchard-grown cider straight from the ‘Cidavan’\, alongside some of Australia’s best cider makers. This gives festival-goers the perfect chance to taste what makes our craft truly special. Each unique exhibition showcases and celebrates the diversity of artistic talent\, concepts\, ideas\, and mediums explored by different artists.\nAll artworks on display are available for purchase\, with 100% of sales going directly to the artist. \nThe upcoming Art Series by Elizabeth Parsons\nElizabeth Parsons is a passionate local photographer\, who has travelled the world\, capturing the details of nature as she goes.\nYou are invited to the launch of this photography exhibition\, at a special public event held on Sunday 4th October. Join Elizabeth at this Meet the Artist event\, enjoy canapés and talking directly with her.\nBe the first to view and purchase these pieces before they are more widely viewed. This exhibition will be on show at Daylesford Cider into December. \nAbout the artist:\n\nElizabeth’s passion for photography developed from a young age encouraged by her father\, who was also a photographer. She lives on a comparatively isolated property in country Victoria. As a result\, the property abounds with life; some creatures so tiny or quick we too easily miss their existence\, and never see their beauty. She loves the intimate peek at the details of nature captured by her cameras\, the beauty and detail usually missed by the naked eye. \nElizabeth also has a particular love for marine mammals and wildlife. Her hope is that her photographs will show to others the beauty of these animals and highlight the plight they are facing because of damage to their environment. In the last few years\, Elizabeth has been learning alternative photography processes through Gold Street Studios in East Trentham. This has led to looking at different photographic subjects\, those with structure and texture to bring out the best in these processes. \nAbout ‘A Study In Contrasts’:\nThis exhibition of Elizabeth’s photographs includes both digital prints and hand-made palladium photographs. The subjects cover subjects from Australia as well as North America and Baja California Sur\, Mexico\, and Hungary.\nA Study in Contrasts is about showing the beauty of the wildlife and nature across these regions\, along with a handful of landscapes\, which are some of Elizabeth’s favourite places. She highlights the beauty of physical structures through the palladium photographs.\nElizabeth’s idea with mixing the subjects of nature and the physical structure is to highlight that beauty is everywhere to be appreciated.

This promises for an afternoon of fantastic live music\, great food\, award-winning cider and relaxed vibes.\nHaving delivered a much adored intimate set during their last live music performance here\, we are looking forward to more toe tappin’ tunes by Two Duck Nights. \nItinerary for the day;\nMake a full day of it – we open our doors at 10am for cider tastings and drinks\, and our chefs will be serving up delicious dishes from 11:30am. Expect share plates\, wood fired pizza\, kid friendly menu items and dessert all afternoon. Kitchen will wind down around 4:30pm.\nBring a picnic rug so you can move onto the lawn after lunch.
