His wide ranging subjects include sensitive nudes\, gracious old Australian hotels and buildings\, the Flinders Ranges and historical towns\, Mountain Cattlemen of the High Country\, romantic and historical gardens\, and the flower gatherers of Monbulk\, Olinda and Dingley. \nHis subjects are executed with great strength and feeling. The colours are palpably brilliant and the images poetic. \nHe has had over 20 successful one-man exhibitions and has numerous awards to his name. His paintings are in collections in the United States\, Canada\, Great Britain\, Japan\, several European countries and in private collections throughout Australia.

This infamous event is where the tiny town of Trentham goes big on all things spud.\nSaturday 2nd May boasts legendary street fair with four buzzing precincts of spud‑inspired food\, artisan makers and family‑friendly fun. This is where you will find Daylesford Cider’s ‘Cidavan’ in the railway precinct\, pouring some of our very best ciders. Included on the list will be our famous warm Spiced Cider\, served alongside its little non-alcoholic sister\, Spiced Apple. There is something for all ages – this festival is all about family friendly community spirit.This is a hub of fantastic produce\, live music and community spirit every autumn. 🥔🎉 \nSpudfest is actually across two days. On the 3rd May – the Sunday Discovery Day – folk get out and about celebrating local stories\, flavours and farms. Daylesford Cider is host a Spudfest Sunday Session – embracing new potato-inspired dishes on the menu plus live music 12pm – 3pm.\nJoin us in the marquee covered courtyard for an afternoon of toe tappin’ tunes by Two Duck Night. \nThis weekend is the perfect pairing: iconic spud creations and a cold pour in hand\, stroll the streets\, soak up the sounds\, and dive deep into this region’s harvest‑season celebration. Whether you are buying fresh veggies and meat\, or soaps\, candles and gift\, there are endless options. There is also coffee and hot food to enjoy on the day. \nA bit about the market:\nThe Daylesford Sunday Market is run by the Daylesford Spa Country Railway and together they are a popular attraction for locals and visitors alike. Running for over 43 years it has become an institution in the Daylesford region. Led by the volunteers at the railway\, they are a not for profit organisation that supports the town of Daylesford and its surrounds. The market is also a dog friendly space to friendly dogs always on a leash. \nThe market runs every Sunday of the year\, rain\, hail\, snow or shine with two exceptions. If the market falls on Christmas day or a “Catastrophic” fire danger day in the central district.\nThe market opens at 8am and winds down (stalls start leaving) from 1pm with a close time of 3pm.

DESCRIPTION:Daylesford Cider’s Art Series is a year-round program of intimate art exhibitions featuring the work of local artists and photographers.\nEach unique exhibition showcases and celebrates the diversity of artistic talent in our region. They also highlight the range of concepts\, ideas\, and mediums explored by these different artists.\nAll artworks on display are available for purchase\, with 100% of sales going directly to the artist. \nThe start of each new exhibition will be marked by a special launch that we would love you to attend. DESCRIPTION:Come along to our Spudfest Sunday Session at Daylesford Cider on Sunday 3rd May.\nThe Great Trentham Spudfest 2026 is a 2 day event – with Sunday Discovery Day getting folk out and about celebrating local stories\, flavours and farms. \nOur Sunday Session is all about top notch cider\, tasty spud dishes\, great tunes\, a lot of fun and embracing authentic regional produce and celebrations!\nKick back to the toe tappin’ tunes by Two Duck Night. These fellas will be playing in the marquee covered courtyard from 12pm until 3pm. This is of course a free event\, however we would recommend reserving a table online in advance – walk in’s welcome as always. \nOur chef’s will be serving up some Spud-inspired dishes all weekend long\, Friday to Sunday. A very delicious potato gratin is rumoured to be part of the menu! Our kitchen is open 11:15am – 2:45pm\, with our bar running from 10am to 5pm as usual. \nDiscovery Day is all about tasting local and celebrating the region’s iconic crops. Grab a cider\, enjoy the tunes\, and make a Sunday of it.
