If you love authentic ciders that herald the key characteristics of traditional making methods, then you’ll love our Cloudy Farmhouse cider.
The term “farmhouse” reflects its historical roots as a cider made on farms using locally grown apples and traditional fermentation techniques. Our farm produces 17 varieties of English heritage cider apples, each bringing different qualities to the finished drink. It is not just these high quality cider apples that contribute to such an authentic, rustic cider offering…
In order to achieve this, our cider maker Mackie embraced the traditional, wild fermentation method, and left the cider to develop at a cool temperature over a long period of time. The diverse variety of microorganisms in the cider have certainly helped produced a much more complex flavour profile.
To further enhance its farmhouse-style nature, Mackie chose not to filter the finished product before bottling. We are therefore left with a hazy, yellowy cider that is reminiscent of how cider has been served for thousands of years.
We often describe our Cloudy Farmhouse cider as an Australian soft-version of an English scrumpy. If you’ve had a scrumpy, you’ll know what we are talking about. If you havn’t, then you still have scrumpy to look forward to and can indulge in other’s stories!

Been visiting their venue for a few years now, always love our time there and my husband always orders the cloudy. So glad it’s now available online so we never run out at home!
