Here at Daylesford Cider we produce a range of craft ciders made using the 17 varieties of English-heritage listed apples we grow organically on the farm just outside Daylesford. The ciders we produce are also English in style, ranging from traditional ‘still’ with an almost-bone dry palate, through to lightly carbonated and sweeter styles.
It is the apple varieties we use that set our ciders apart in the Australian cider marketplace. Some of the better known apples are Kingston Black, Bulmer’s Norman, Yarlington Mill, Improved Foxwhelp and Somerset Red Streak.
It only seems fitting that our ciders are sold from an English style Tavern cellar door which offers a cosy setting in Winter and in Summer people can kick back in the courtyard and landscaped gardens.
The English Tavern-style cellar-door is open 7 days a week 10am to 5pm, serving our range of ciders to drink in or take home, as well as local and regional beers, wines, coffee & soft drinks.
Lunch is available Friday Saturday Sunday & Monday, offering a modest menu to accompany a cider or two. The menu changes regularly and therefore is not available online, so please get in touch to find out what is available during your upcoming visit. Bookings are strongly recommended on weekends and essential on public holiday weekends.

“We started our weekend away and went here even before we got to our accomodation. What a way to start. From walking in greeted but the coolest dogs and a wood fire to the relaxed staff all too happy to talk through the menu. The size of the menu is not massive but I wish more places would try this system. Just have a few options and do it well. We ordered a selection to share and it was perfect. One of us on the table doesn’t really eat a lot of meat and we took a chance and ordered an oxtail ragu and braised pork dish. They loved them both. Great room and staff and simply the best way to kick off our weekend.”
